2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car & Small Car Series Awards Banquet
February 4, 2006, Milwaukee, WI - The Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series held their 11th annuMilwaukee, WI, February 4 - Posing next to his Championship trophy is the 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series Champion Matt Schlick.al awards banquet in the Grand Ballroom of the Clarion Hotel. Over 240 attended the formal event to honor the 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series Champion Matt Schlick and the 2005 Midwest Enduro Small Car Series Champion Nathan Matz.

During the awards ceremonies, over $9,000 in prize money, awards, and contingencies were presented. Roz Auto Salvage of Milwaukee sponsored all of the awards with Eagle Media Inc. of Muskego co-sponsoring the top five trophies for the Stock Cars and the top three in the Small Cars.

The top 30 drivers in the final 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series point standings were recognized. The 2005 Midwest Enduro title was the first career Series championship for Schlick. Schlick’s consistency was the key to his success with only one event out of the top four. The highlight of his season was his first career overall win at the Grundy County Speedway on July 4. Schlick received a large trophy, $700 and a jacket distinguishing himself as the 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series Champion. A championship crew chief award was presented to Andy Pighetti and the chief scorer awards were presented to Jean Schlick and Lori Pighetti.

The top five finishers each received a trophy and prize money along with plaque awards that were distributed to their respected crew chief’s and scorer’s. Along with Schlick the top five included; Tom Barnharst (2nd), Darryl Traber (3rd), Tracy Carr (4th) and Erich Iversen (5th). Positions 6-30 were presented plaque awards. Drivers had to attend to receive point fund money.

The 2005 Midwest Enduro Small Car Series Champion was Nathan Matz. A consistent season was key to the championship for Matz as he posted back to back third place finishes as his best with the worst an eighth place finish in the season opener. Matz received a $350 check, a championship jacket and large trophy for his efforts. The crew chief award went to Carl Matz and chief scorer award to Sandra Matz.

The top ten finishers in the 2005 Midwest Enduro Small Car Series were also honored with trophy and plaque awards. Those in attendance also received prize money. The 2005 runner up was Lenny Adams followed by Dylan Helfenstein (3rd), Dave Goebel (4th), Valerie Epright (5th), Jennifer Reichert (6th), Steve Bayer (7th), Jack Rabey (8th), Todd Lunsford (9th) and Jasyn Brown (10th).

Special achievement awards were distributed to Al Kuphal, Steve Just, Ricky Nelson, Russ Koralewski, Pete Aschenbrenner, Mike McKay, Jay LeBrun, the Lunsford Racing Team & the Pinkalla Race Team.

The Chuck’s Radiator 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series “rookie of the year” award was presented to Scott Bodoh. Charlie Pinkalla of Chuck’s Radiator presented a plaque award and $250 in prize money to Bodoh for his accomplishment. The Chuck’s Radiator 2005 Midwest Enduro Small Car Series “rookie of the year” award was presented to Dave Goebel. Goebel was presented a plaque award and $150 for his accomplishment.

The B & T AutoMilwaukee, WI, February 4 - Bob Nuti(L) of B & T Auto Repair presents Julie DeNood with her award for the 2005 Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series "most improved driver" honors. Repair 2005 “most improved driver” award was presented to Julie DeNood. Bob Nuti of B & T Auto Repair presented a plaque award and $250 in prize money to DeNood for her achievement.

The T.A. Express, Inc. 2005 “Hard Charger” award was presented to Brad Jones. Tom Arnold of T.A. Express, Inc. presented Jones with a plaque award and $250 in prize money for his accomplishment.

Series announcer Eric Mueller presented the first annual “Mouth” award to Charlie Pinkalla for his outgoing efforts in support of the Series for many years.
Milwaukee, WI, February 4 - Steve Just (L) presents Shannon McCarthy with the 2005 "Women of the Year" award at the Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series awards banquet in the Clarion Hotel Ballroom.

Steve Just presented a “women of the year” award to Shannon McCarthy for her contributions to the Series.

The crowd was rewarded with great food, music and outstanding speeches during the awards presentations. Everyone in attendance received a door prize. The Klement’s Sausage Co., Old Wisconsin Sausage Co., Steve Just Racing and the Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series were huge providers of the door prizes handed out during the evening.
